The Chattanooga Autism Center's clinic was fortunate to hire a post-doc psychologist in September of 2024. Dr. Olivia Demario specializes in autism evaluations and is providing this service in our center as she receives supervision and her hours towards licensure. She is not in network with insurance so clients must pay out of pocket. We are grateful for grants from the Bobby Stone Foundation and United Way of Greater Chattanooga that help cover much of the expenses to provide this service.
About the evaluations: We are completing ~16 evaluations per month. They require 3-4 visits. They can take 4-6 weeks from beginning to end. They include the ADOS-2 and other metrics. These are not comprehensive psycho-social examinations. Their purpose is to perform the full autism diagnostic evaluation and report on the results. The results are provided in person in a full session so they can be discussed and questions answered along with referrals as necessary.

Please note: The waitlist has grown quicker than expected. We schedule people in the order they call and add themselves. No referrals are necessary. There is no cost to be on the waitlist. There is no obligation. You may decline the assessment when we call.

Ages served: 1 year old and up, including all adult ages.
Cost: between $250 to $400 for the entire evaluation.
Sliding fee scale: We charge lower fees for people below the poverty line. Call to find out more details.

The waittime is hard to calculate. We recommend contacting us and asking what it is that day as it changes daily.
There are many services you can access while you are waiting for an evaluation. Call us for more details.
We also recommend contacting as many other providers as possible, and adding yourself to their waitlists. This may reduce your overall waittime. See below for more providers.
