CARS Program
Help us brighten the future for individuals with Autism in our region by donating your car, boat, RV, or motorcycle to the Chattanooga Autism Center. You’ll not only be making a difference in the life of a person with autism, but you may qualify for a tax deduction. The Chattanooga Autism Center is a local 501c3 non-profit organization and all funds donated stay local.

HOW IT WORKS:
1) Gather information about your vehicle (make, model, year, VIN).
2) Call us to schedule a drop off or pickup time.
3) We provide you a donor packet with an odometer statement to complete and mail to us.
4) We send you a letter acknowledging your charitable donation (includes tax information that you will use for a tax deduction.

REQUIREMENTS:

Clear title for the vehicle.

If vehicle is a boat it must have a trailer and float.

If the vehicle does not run, it must (a) have tires on all four wheels and (b) be accessible to a tow truck. (We tow for free!)
HOW IT HELPS:
​The funds your vehicle can raise for us are worth so much to the individuals and families that we serve. Your donations help us continue to provide assessments, evaluations, and behavioral therapy to people of all ages with autism who otherwise cannot afford these services. Donations also help support our many programs that we offer to the community.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and autism are both general terms for a group of complex disorders of brain development. These disorders are characterized, in varying degrees, by difficulties in social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication and repetitive behaviors. ASD can be associated with intellectual disability, difficulties in motor coordination, attention and physical health issues.

The Chattanooga Autism Center was created in 2009 and is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. It's a parent/advocate-driven center providing lifespan support and services for people with autism spectrum disorders and their families. The center also serves as an advocacy resource and builds awareness about autism in our region.

We are grateful for the support of A-1 Towing and Service Center. ​Located at 3610 Calhoun Avenue, they provide towing when necessary, and auction the donated vehicles.
